Geckoboard - my 3rd monitor's new friend

I recently adjusted my office setup, mounting my third monitor on the wall to save desk space.  For the last few days I've been searching for a combination of applications to make the best use of this monitor.  Since it sits above the normal eye line for viewing, it makes reading email or watching IM sessions a bit difficult.

Yesterday I came across a great web-based information board service called Geckoboard.  They deliver beautiful dashboard style layouts with HTML, CSS and Javascript, making it available everywhere.  I signed up for the beta and closely watched the twitter feed for any invite announcements.  Just this morning, a tweet went out proclaiming 1000 new invites were to be leaving the nest today.  I got one, and couldn't be happier.

In about 10 minutes time, I've set up widgets for Basecamp, Pingdom, Google Analytics, Google Calendar, Gmail, Github and Zendesk.  The interface simplistically beautiful.

Kudos to the Geckoboard team for putting out a great service.
